Maskerade Design was established in 1998 formerly by business partners Stuart Lockerbie and Darren Overton. 2 highly motivated individuals with a wealth of printing knowledge and experience created and set up Maskerade Design within an established electronics company located on Riverside Road in Southwick Sunderland. Renting a small work area we were able to keep our overheads to a minimum which allowed us to purchase second hand printing equipment directly from Kodak to create a Printing Bureau to local print and design companies within the north east. Soon we introduced graphic design and a short run printing service where we found ourselves winning our first 2 major contracts, Sunderland Football Club and Scottish & Newcastle Breweries. We found ourselves outgrowing the small rented office and had the opportunity to move into a commercial premises in a busy secondary shopping centre "Chester Road" with a shop front.

Excited to expand our services we introduced new equipment which led to the creation of our copy centre. This allowed us to provide print, copy, bind and fax solutions to local people, businesses and the University of Sunderland student community.

Today, Maskerade is a completely independent Ltd company owned and run by one of the original partners Stuart Lockerbie. Maskerade has come a long way, we have purchased the Chester Road premises, expanded over 2 floors along with a new rear extension, which now accommodates greater storage, staff toilets and kitchen facilities.This allowed us to create and establish 5 different areas of the business allowing us to provide a full print solution not only to local businesses and members of the community but within the UK.

A Copy Centre which caters for clients requiring basic photocopying, scanning, email and faxing as well as on demand printing and binding services.

Maskerade now not only serves the local community in Sunderland but has an extensive database of clients within the UK, Ireland, Finland, Canada and America.
